This is one of my newest, full-size, cowboy boot purses. I affectionately call this style "Bucket Bags." These purses are spacious, tote-style with original boot interior without pockets. As tote-style it's super roomy for an every day bag. It measures 10.5"x13" with a 3.5" wide leather-wrapped wooden base and a 40"adjustable shoulder strap.
Some purses have scuffs, irregularities or defects from the boot factory. This adds to it's character. By using recycled, factory seconds and irregulars you get a purse made from unworn boots. I make the strap from vintage belts. The top secures with a magnetic closure. Finally, each purse is finished with beautiful conchos and beading. Then it's ready to be shown off!
All of my handmade leather purses are created from reclaimed leather cowboy boots. They feature stunning conchos, beautiful beads and reclaimed belts or embossed veg-tanned leather for shoulder straps. Each western leather purse is truly crafted one-of-a-kind by hand. I don't use any machines and I don't make any two the same. I hand-punch, hand-lace and hand-rivet each handmade purse. I've got the love and the calluses to show for it! I make each of my cowboy boot purses unique because a purse should be as special as the lady who carries them.
